As a church we are currently going thru a study on 2 Peter 1. Tuesday evenings we get deeper into the Word, learning the biblical teaching and see how and where we can change our lives to look more like Christ and have Him our center focus in life.  We meet each Tuesday night at 7pm.

As believers it’s extremely important to build community; all throughout the New Testament we see examples of this. In Christ’s death on the cross he reconciled all things to himself (Col. 1:20); this includes our relationships. With this in mind, men’s community groups are a place where men gather around Christ and the Gospel that saved us. Too many times community groups gather around things that flow out of the Gospel instead of the Gospel itself. Some of these things may include friendships, accountability or a good teaching curriculum. None of these things are bad, but they are not the Gospel. Christians are called by Holy Scripture to be drenched in the Gospel. In reference to the Gospel, Paul commands Timothy to “Practice these things, immerse yourself in them, so that all may see your progress” (1 Timothy 4:15). In community groups we want to provide ways to help men grow. These tools include accountability, correction, bible study and godly friendships, but all centered around Christ and the Gospel. This is the only way true growth will come about!
